The Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network, The International Detention Coalition, Save the Children and Terre des Hommes are seeking to identify children’s rights and migrant/refugee organisations active at the national and regional level in Southeast Asia that may be interested in joint advocacy and other interventions on the issue of child immigration detention.
They will be organising a meeting on 23 September 2016, which will focus on the widespread use of immigration detention in Southeast Asia and explore opportunities to advocate for and develop viable, sustainable community-based alternatives.
