Explore, Engage, Act!

The Initiative for Child Rights briefing

The Initiative for Child Rights in the Global Compacts has developed a briefing for young people on the recently adopted Global Compacts for Refugees and on Migration. The aim is to enable children and young people to know what the two Compacts say about migrant and refugee children and adolescents and to inspire them to take action.

The briefing provides background information about the Compacts, outlines what each Compact says about children and young people and explores ways for them to engage in discussions around the Global Compacts, putting the compacts into practice and checking in on progress. It looks at ways in which children and young people might want to work with others and take action.

The briefing also contains inspiring examples of groups of young people working to support migrant and refugee children and youth.
